In a video published October 7, 2019 on a S4Y Vlog Matt Berkey explains RFID technology.
During the video, he suggests the Stones Live production was not secure. "I have a FEAR that they're actually just using wireless technology which would be the least secure of all the measures".
Rounder Life Media made a phone call to get clarification from Stones. Their response:
"A usb cord connects to the motherboard. It runs down the (table) leg then goes into a usb extender which converts into cat6 across the room under carpet, up a pole, across the ceiling, down into a usb extenders' receiver, to the server."
