Sourcing as close to your sales market is best. If you sell in the USA it’s best to buy in the USA. Or as close to your target market as possible - so for the USA Canada and Mexico would be good second choices especially with USMCA agreement.

However, the reality is many consumer products are not made in North America at this point so we have to look for the best alternatives to China.

Make no mistake - China still dominates consumer packaged goods production, but that is changing. And it’s changing fast.

Vietnam, India, Malaysia and other SE Asia countries has more CPG production capacity, especially for hand assembled items, than North America.

We hope and even expect that the reality changes more and more over the next few years, but in the mean time Amazon sellers must find ways to fill the supply chain.
