Forge a Pineapple Twist

In this video we visit with Vincent Krava of Dragon's Head Forge in Ohio. And he shows us step-by-step how to make something called a Pineapple Twist in a length of mild steel. It is a great looking twist that is terrific for a weapon handle.
Some other things that he shows us is a spring loaded hold down to hold work on the anvil and he uses a brass hammer to manipulate the steel without distorting it. He also uses a standard blacksmith tool called a flatter.
Great tutorial and a terrific blacksmithing technique.

Special thanks to the blacksmith Vincent Krava for kindly welcoming me into his forge for the day and for doing this great tutorial for us. Check out his website at: http://dragonsheadforge.com
