A peaceful morning stroll in Heron Island's forest!

Heron Island is reported to comprised of up to 200,000 birds, including up to 120,000 Black Noddy Terns and Wedge Tailed Shearwaters (Mutton Birds). Resident bird colonies such as the Eastern Reef Egret and the Buff Banded Rail may also be observed mating.
