Yuzha shares the potent content of her meditation yesterday, which elicits an animated discussion on selfishness, duty and obligation. In what does selfishness actually consist? Is self-sacrifice a virtue or a vice? Or both? We have skewed perspectives on our own situation and unconscious obligations which clandestinely subvert our conscious values and actions. Where do these blocks come from? What is their purpose here? And is it truly a valuable trait to indiscriminately put the perceived well-being of others before our own, to our own detriment? Surely this is counter-intuitive, is it not? Surely it is more conducive to the well-being of others that we maintain our own first, that we can actually provide for theirs with a full cup of our own. Such are the main themes of today's discussion.
