Come to Jesus in Faith. This video gently and peacefully guides you through a simple prayer focusing on seeking Jesus. Renew your faith and refresh your soul.

Here is the text of the prayer for you to follow.

Dear Lord Jesus,

I come to you now in faith. I desire none but you. In Romans 5 verse 1 it says, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” I cannot have peace with God through works. I recognise my complete need for you, Jesus. There is nothing I am able to do to save myself. It is only through faith in you that I am saved. Because of you I can have peace with God.

I know that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. So, I call on the name of my Lord Jesus Christ. Save me, Lord. Lord Jesus, I know there is nothing I can do in my own strength to be saved. I am utterly dependent on your grace. I give up on myself. I give up trying to achieve salvation by my own effort. I submit fully to the power of your grace.

Galatians 2 verse 20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” So, I declare these truths over my life. I no longer live. I put to death everything about my old life. I put to death my old desires. I put to death my old ways of thinking. I put to death my old habits. I put to death my old behaviours.

Lord Jesus Christ, live in me. John 15 verse 5 says this: “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” Abide in me. I wish to abide in you. As the vine abides in the branch, I wish to abide in you. I know that I can do nothing without you. Any effort from myself is worthless.

Colossians 3 verse 3 says, “For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” In accepting the truth of your death and resurrection, my old life is dead. May my life be hidden with Christ in God. Second Timothy 2 verse 11 says, “The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him.” Lord Jesus, I desire to die with you. I desire to live with you.

Galatians 5 verse 24 states, “And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” I declare that I belong to Christ. I completely belong to my Lord Jesus. I give my whole self as a living sacrifice. I crucify my flesh along with Christ. I declare the power of Christ’s crucifixion over myself.

John 3 verse 3 says this: “Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”” I wish to be born again. I wish for my old life to disappear. I wish for my new life to come.

James 4 verse 10 states. “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” Lord Jesus, I humble myself before you. I know that I am nothing without you. I pray that you lift me up.

James 4 verse 8 says this: “Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” Lord, I recognise I am a sinner. I ask you to purify my heart. God, I come close to you. God, come close to me. I ask that I may encounter your grace and love today. Help me to know you and experience you.

Lord God, I pray all these things in Spirit and truth. I pray them in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen
