Charles Schwabs US Dividend ETF (SCHD) is a fantastic dividend paying ETF

First off, just incase you don’t do, at ETF is an Exchange Traded Fund so basically a bundle of stocks that are traded just like individual stocks.

SCHD consists of 104 US stocks all which of course pay dividends.

The top 5 holdings are Merck, Pepsi, Pfizer, Texas Instruments, and IBM and those 5 stocks make up 20.69% of the entire fund.

The dividend yield is currently 3.35% and dividends are paid out quarterly.

the most recent distribution paid $0.64/share held and in the past 4 quarters the average dividend paid was $0.62

100 shares of SCHD would be $6,700 and on average would pay you $62/quarter

Not life changing income but if continue to buy more shares of SCHD over time that quarterly payout will keep growing as well!
