Escape | A short cinematic travel film shot in Yucatan, Mexico

A short cinematic travel video of our trip to Mexico, Yucatan. The message of this short film is to escape the 9-5 life if it doesn't feel right to you.

Shot on a Sony a6000 with a Sony 35mm / f1.8 lens.

I always thought of myself as not being a perfectionist. But if there is one thing I've learned while editing this film, it's that I am probably the biggest perfectionist out there..

I was never satisfied with the result. I kept trying new stuff and replacing shots. I kept going back to parts that were already finished to re-edit some effects. I tried different styles of colors but I realised I was just never satisfied.

That's why it took me more than half a year to finish this film. Being honest with myself: it's probably because I was afraid to hear what others think would think of it, since it's my first video.

And that's exactly why I am sharing it right now. I know it doesn't even come close to a lot of travel videos out there, and I know I could do so much better. Eventhough, I have a loong way to go, here's my first piece of content I've created and I will keep learning, improving and creating more and more content.
