'We got Uber right here': People use kayaks to navigate Orlando's flooded streets

Orlando, Florida, was submerged in several inches of floodwater on Thursday, September 29, as authorities warned of continued flash flooding and urged residents to remain indoors. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said Ian intensified into a hurricane again as it approached Georgia and the Carolinas on September 29.
The NHC said portions of central, northern, and northeast Florida will continue to experience flooding from Hurricane Ian through September 30. Footage captured by Jeff Gomez shows his neighbors kayaking down a flooded Orlando street. “We got Uber right here,” Gomez says in the background, as another person requests the paddlers bring drinks over.
