Today, I want to cover a few things you might not know about vitamin supplements. Vitamin supplements can be very beneficial as long as you understand a few things about them first.

I believe natural whole food vitamins are much more beneficial than synthetic vitamins to support a healthy body. Certain synthetic vitamins can be okay in specific circumstances, like for a detox. But, I don't think they are good long-term solutions.

When it comes to the supplements I create, I put a lot of focus and attention on the ingredients and even the source of the ingredients.

Six surprising facts about vitamins:
1. Most mega vitamin companies are owned by Big Pharma, chemical companies, or food manufacturing companies

2. 95% of vitamins sold are made synthetically by chemical companies

3. China is the largest exporter of vitamin C and vitamin B1

4. The vitamin studies that show an increased risk for cancer use synthetics

5. Whole food concentrates are more complete and are more bioavailable despite having lower amounts of vitamins

6. Medical doctors only get about 25 hours, on average, of training on nutrition
