Wu Wei - Aligning Our Actions With Nature

Wu-wei (Chinese = 無為, meaning "non-action" or "actionless action” or “effortless action”) is a central principle in the Chinese philosophy of Daoism. The principle affirms that one should live spontaneously in accordance with the natural flow of the cosmos called the Dao, and not act against this natural order and rhythm of nature.

Video I referenced: Wu-wei | The Art of Letting Things Happen — https://youtu.be/g0rhN8U14dk

Lao Tzu: “Using force always leads to unseen troubles.”

In Wu Wei we’re not so much doing, but going. (floating down the river)

Over-thinking
Over-analyzing
Over-preparing
Trying to control the flow
-VS-
Unprepared
Acting natural
Acting in the moment
Acting spontaneously

The ego leads us astray. The ego closes us off the what’s really going on.

What can you do? Return to a more “unprocessed” state — “the uncarved block” — unencumbered by intellectual baggage so your vision of the world becomes clear.
