CREAMY MOUSSAKA (MUSAKA)

CREAMY MOUSSAKA (MUSAKA)
INGREDIENTS
The beef and potato were prepped 24 hours in advance.
BEEF MARINATE
Generally, my habit is to salt the beef 24 hrs before marinating it.
1 lbs Grass-fed ground beef (Ground Beef)
½ tsp. Salt
½ of an Onion grind or finely chop
3 garlic Cloves grind or finely chop
1 table spoon Sour Cream
1 table spoon of Parsley
A pinch of Black Pepper
POTATO LAYER
1 thinly sliced potato
2 cups of cold water - Optional
CHEESES & CREAMS
100-150 grams of Asiago cheese grated
150 -200 grams of Swiss Appenzeller cheese grated
150- 200 grams of Strong Provolone cheese grated
150 -200 grams of Feta cheese crumble
2 Eggs
1 table spoon English Double Cream
2 table spoons European Style Cream cheese
2 table spoons Melted Butter
INSTRUCTIONS
WHISK TOGETHER – Eggs, double cream, cream cheese and butter. This will be used at the bottom, between the layers, and the top of the Moussaka. Look at the video to see how the layering is done.. Egg Mix, Potato slices, Cheese, Meat, Feta, then Potato slices again - Repeat.
BAKING INSTRUCTIONS
Pre-heat at 350 degrees for 30 mins
Bake at 350 degrees 50 minutes
