How to Make a Leather Belt Sheath -- (with an outdoor Survival Adventure at the end)

3.45K

Today I'm making a wet-formed leather belt sheath for my daughter. It is sized to carry a Swiss Army Knife, Ferro Rod, and fire tinder tabs.
In the video I'll go over wet forming the leather (6-7oz) using a mold, trimming and sizing the pieces, edge grooving, dyeing, stitching, burnishing, adding snaps, belt loop hardware, edge coating and finishing the leather.
And there is a bonus little survival adventure at the end of the video from our most recent camping trip. Which actually served as a lot of the motivation for wanting to make this sheath for her.
As always, thanks for watching!
