Empires unlike kingdoms and countries fall apart from the edge inwards to the center. A good deflationary cycle is needed by the empire to harvest all assets brought forward by cheap credit. Everything must fall compared to the currency of the empire for a good harvest to happen.
During this cycle all assets that are still owed debt upon are ready for harvest. Once this cycle is over only hard assets remain like gold and silver.

1500 to 2270 in CAD
980 to 1500 in GBP
1080 to 1700 in EUR
14000 to 24000 in JPY
4800 to 8800 in RON - Romanian Lei
4500 to 30000 in TRY - Turkish lira
1.8 mil to 8 mil in LYD - Libyan dinar
