'Unprecedented' gas leak from Nord Stream pipeline

Environmental experts said that the unexplained explosions in the Nord Stream pipelines running from Russia to Europe could release an “unprecedented” amount of the greenhouse gas methane and cause significant damage to the climate.

Evidence is still being collected on whether damage to this pipeline was intentional. NATO's North Atlantic Council has issued a statement calling the sabotage ‘reckless and irresponsible’ and warned that NATO will act with "unity to defend their interests."
