STP OIL FILTER WARNING

I bought a brand new STP oil filter, filled it half way with new oil and tried to install it. By hand. No tools. It went on a few threads as easy as could be then started to just spin and click, not going on any further and then gave me issues getting it back off. What the???? Well, here's what the....
