Serena was 15 years old when she discovered she was pregnant. She wanted to embrace her child's life, but her parents coerced her into abortion, pressuring and threatening her.

After the abortion, she struggled with self-confidence issues, anxiety, depression, loss of appetite, and suicidal thoughts. She abused alcohol to numb her pain and busied herself to avoid thinking about her abortion.
