Poseidon Sportfishing Bluefin Tuna I GOT SMOKED ON A SPINNING REEL! San Diego Deep Sea Fishing 2022

Shane, The Blue Angler and I target bluefin tuna on an early season 2-day trip with some of the Bucket List Tuna Chasers boys on the Poseidon. Departed San Diego's H&M Landing on a Tuesday night to return Thursday evening. Managed one fish for each of us. I think I got the biggest fish on the boat and got absolutely smoked on my spinning reel.

Crazy battle vs the fish. Took almost 50 minutes to get him in the boat, and I needed a lot of help from the crew to get the fish in the boat. I'm just glad the 25-pound leader didn't break and all my knots held. Fishing was a little slow, but all three of us got a tuna and had a blast!
