Best Ducati Scrambler for Beginners - Arabia Motors Part 27

A 1,079cc, 90-degree L-twin engine with two valves per cylinder, air/oil cooling, and two valves per cylinder power the Scrambler 1100. This engine was originally built for Ducati's Monster 1100 Evo, but it has effectively undergone a redesign. This modern motorbike pays tribute to the company's long-gone single-cylinder scramblers with a host of contemporary amenities including throttle-by-wire, three riding modes, four-setting traction control (which may be disengaged), cornering ABS (always on), large dual Brembo disc brakes up front, and more. But let's face it—nobody is going to enter one of them in Hare Scrambles races, just like with all of today's motorcycles with the scrambler design. The Scrambler 1100 is, in fact, a perfect example of a street bike, and it's also really excellent.
The seat is large and comfortable with adequate cushioning for a long day of riding, and the rider ergonomics seem balanced. From the seat to the pegs, there is a wonderful, spacious spread, at least for this six-footer with a 31-inch inseam. After a long day of riding, you can still slide back to change pressure areas on your back thanks to the seat's tiny step from the rider's part to the passenger region. The handlebar reach also provides a good range of latitude for adjusting ride posture.
According to Ducati, the 1100's maximum output is 86 horsepower at 7,500 rpm. The 65 lb-ft torque peak, though, which appears at a low, low 4,750 revs—exactly where you are throughout the majority of street riding conditions—is the crucial element in this situation. According to Ducati's specifications, the 800 generates 49 lb-ft of torque at 5,750 revs and 73 horsepower at 8,250 revs. Consequently, the 1100 produced significantly more power, whereas the 800 occasionally seemed inadequate for me due to my 235-pound curb weight.
