On August 28, 2022, Tacoma Police Officers responded to the 6700 block of South Monroe Street, for a 911 report of a physical domestic assault.

The suspect was identified as Tacoma resident Peter Tyler Collins. The 911 caller reported that Mr. Collins owns "2-3 guns, including an AR-15 and a pistol that is kept downstairs where he sleeps."
