Thoughts on Alex Belfield - Former BBC presenter jailed for stalking

Just a few thoughts on Alex Belfield - Former BBC presenter jailed for stalking.

One presumes he will serve half of the sentence presumably two and a half years.

One presumes if this was a magistrate court it would have been half or less.

I did presume being I believe a first time sentence that it would be suspended (in my first vid I was sleepy and said caution by accident).

Regarding what your view is of Alex Belfield, one thing I hope we can agree on is to feel sorry for his cute dog. I do hope he has someone to take car of her (I believe it is a her).

Five years does seem a long time, considering we read drug dealers get that sort of time.

One thing I will say is I do consider Alex Belfield has a great style and is a great presenter, and entertaining.

But I will say I often thought that the way he would tell us on YouTube he was having an argument with x person on twitter or email odd. Odd because it never seemed to have any use. By this it did not seem be was doing it to investigate people, and also odd as if he was going to take legal action against someone, I would have presumed he would have been better to have a solicitor contact them, in case he messed his case up.

It also seemed off when Alex Belfield informed us that he had spoken to peoples parents about them.

One can understand the stress people would have had from email contact.

One also wonders if this case had not been so public, would he have had such a long sentence.

I have known people with criminal records, who have had suspended sentences for assaulting someone.

Then you have Kati Price who seems to be always let off with suspended sentences.

I did wonder if he could do his show over the phone each day from prison, but I presume that may be against the rules.

But as I say, regardless of what you think of Alex Belfield, one must feel pity for his dog.
