James Whale - The best radio DJ ever #JamesWhale

When I was a child I would stay up till 1am (I forget if it was 1am or 2am) to listen to James Whale on Radio Aire. I was always late for school next day.

He was so funny. People phoned up just to be insulted.

He also did a TV show on Yorkshire TV, but it never had the magic of the radio show.

One old lady phoned up most nights, and she was in hysterics when James Whale would call her a stupid woman.

In todays world, it is unlikely you could do such a show.

I miss those days soooooo much.

I was such a fan, and I must have been one of the first to run to the record shop and get his single.
