1.) v.44-45 Jesus came to represent the Father - unity
-We should be unified with each other and with God
-We should not be for ourselves but for God
2.) v.46 Jesus came to reveal and to rescue
-We should live lives that reveal and rescue as well
3.) v.47-48 Jesus came to warn, not to judge at His first coming
-We should listen to His words as warning and take them seriously
4.) v.49-50 Jesus' words were the Father's commands
-We should speak for God not ourselves
-Our purpose should be eternal life for others
