When the left talk about poverty in the UK, they refer to Relative poverty.
The level of Relative poverty. is about £28k or higher.
1. I am happy for people to be rich. I know the left seem to want to turn us against the rich, but I am not against people.
2. Jeremy Corbyn is reported to be a millionaire (this may or may not be true).
3. Relative poverty is when households receive 50% less than average household incomes. In 2021 that was about £28k a year. So when the left tell you x amount of people in the UK are in poverty, they mean anyone under at least £28k (some will use even higher wages to increase the % of those in Relative poverty).
