The dehumanised and the animalised

pet pretentiously acts like an animal but in a real sense it's a dehumanised human but still possesses human attributes that make people believe this is indeed a human acting like an animal. The first time I came across it I had to watch it over and over again as to understand what category really befits this amazing creature possessing the attributes of humans and animals.
