Beach cake

Summer may be over, but you can make a cute and fun beach cake any time of year to bring a little of the beach into your life. To make a beach cake you will need the following ingredients:

1 box white cake mix(any brand)(plus the egg white, water, and oil to make the cake)
1 tub blue frosting or vanilla frosting dyed blue with food coloring
1 pkg gummy fish
1 pkg gummy sharks
1 pk gummy octopus
1 pk gummy mermaids if you can find them(I found mine at Dollar Tree)
1 jar sanding sugar(I found mine at walmart)
Or you can use graham cracker crumbs instead for the sand
A 9x13 pan

Directions:
Mix cake and bake according to directions on box. Bake in a 13x9 pan. Let cool 1hr or cake will tear when frosting. Frost cake blue, except for about 1/4 cake. Be sure to frost the sides too except for the 1/4 cake left unfrosted. Once done frosting, add you gummy fish along the side of the cake. Add some gummy sharks to the sides of the cake too. If you have the gummy mermaids put them on the top of the cake. Add some gummy octopus to the top of the cake too. If you have vanilla frosting, frost the 1/4 cake with vanilla frosting, then sprinkle the sanding sugar on top. I added graham cracker crumbs over the sanding sugar, as I didn't like how it looked. The graham cracker crumbs looked much better as sand. Add as many decorations or as few as you like! That's it! Now you have a cute and fun beach cake great for any time of year. You can even use it for beach themed parties like the little mermaid. Enjoy!
