Lehigh Defense - Xtreme Defense vs Hollow-Point bullet through a Barrier. Here's what happened.

We put the 90-Grain Xtreme Defense bullet up against a premium Hollow-Point 124-Grain bullet. We shot these bullets through the same Wilson Combat 4-inch Professional. For the test both bullets went through the same plywood barrier and into a 20-inch ballistic gelatin. The result proved that while Hollow-Points clog and will not expand if shot through a barrier, the Xtreme Defense is truly barrier blind. We used a high speed camera for this test at 4000 frames per second.

Xtreme Defense is machined from solid copper with the most advanced technology called Fluid Transfer Monolithic. The progressive geometry allows for deep, straight penetration while creating a permanent wound cavity diameter exceeding that of most expanding bullets. Penetrating barriers such as drywall or heavy clothing prior to impacting the intended target doesn’t have the potentially negative effect on the Xtreme Defense that it does to conventional hollow point bullets.
