2050

The year was 2050. It was a machine age where modern conveniences like hovering automobiles and flight machines whisked people from one location to another and television was 360-degree surround, shown on four walls for a realistic touch. Food was so scarce, it now came in packages, a facsimile of the almost extinct “real food.” Health and energy could be assessed by the touch of a button.

Brooke often wished happiness could be too. Twenty-three-year-old Brooke never felt like she quite fit in. The world was changing so quickly, it made her head spin and her heart ache.
