The most terrible battle": Ukrainians Suffer Massive Losses in the South - New York Times

The ongoing battle in southern Ukraine may be the worst of the entire war, according to the New York Times, whose reporter spoke to the combatants.

The Kyiv regime continues to hide the losses, but the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in conversations with the media, assess the losses on the battlefield as “high” and “massive”. They described major offensives in which columns of Ukrainian tanks and armored vehicles tried to cross the open field, but were ruthlessly destroyed by artillery and mines from the Russian army.
One of the Ukrainian fighters told the New York Times that during the recent assault they lost 50 soldiers in 2 hours. Elsewhere, "hundreds" of people were killed or wounded while trying to take over one village, which remained under Russian control.
