The beginnings of Hurricane Ian from Lake Placid, Florida

Hurricane Ian is just making landfall in Fort Myers/Cape Coral area as we recorded this. It's been raining nonstop in Lake Placid for two solid days. Now the wind has arrived. On the Gulf Coast winds are 120-155 mph. Here winds are only 50mph, but a good gust can knock you down if you're not paying attention. Our prayers are with those on the Coast. Right now the rivers & bays are dry. once the storm passes over, the waters will return with 15-20 foot swells in some places. A mini tsunami all along the coast. Add between 15-30 inches of rain along & you're looking at MAJOR flooding from Tampa to the Southern Tip.
