Psalm 92:12-13 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow

Good morning all. Psalm 92:12-13 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. [13] Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

When Solomon built the House of God, cedars from Lebanon were used to build it and palm trees were planted in it. This is why the righteous are described as palm trees and as cedars from Lebanon.

The righteous are planted in the house of God like the palm tree. The righteous are the building materials (cedars) placed on the foundation of Jesus in building God's house (Eph 2:20-22).

In other words, the righteous are both in and a part of God's house. Since God dwells in his house and is the foundation of it, then it means: to be in his house is to dwell in & with him, to be a part of his house: he dwells in us.

As cedars, he is in us, as palms we are in and with him and thus we will flourish.
