It is NICU Awareness Month

It is NICU Awareness Month, and I try to always remember why I started this platform and sharing our story. The biggest reason was because when we were going through everything throughout Jackson’s pregnancy, we felt ALONE. There were very few stories about our particular situation, and it made our journey feel blind. We didn’t know how the pregnancy would end, and we didn’t allow ourselves to go there despite all of the doctors preparing us to.

We share to help others. We share to inform. And we share to raise awareness that just because Doctors “don’t know” doesn’t mean it will end in tragedy. You’re allowed to have hope. You’re allowed to love the baby growing inside of you. And you’re allowed to advocate for yourself as well as your unborn child.
