This delicacy hails from Utah and Idaho and earned its name as a staple of funeral luncheons provided by LDS Relief Societies for the family and friends of the person whose life is being celebrated.
This recipe can be prepared and in the oven in under 25 minutes or assembled the night before and placed in the oven to cook two hours before meal time. They started out as a way to honor a life well lived but can be used to enjoy a life currently in progress. Enjoy them with ham, pork chops, roast beef, chicken or however you like!
