We take a look at the decision of the German government to return 1,100 pieces of artefacts to Nigeria. These aretefacts were stolen from the ancient city of Benin by the British forces during the 1897 invasion of Benin.

This Channel is urging other European institutions and private collectors to make haste to return all cultural items appropriated during the colonial era.
