Situation in #Kupyansk Direction at 15:00 on 28 Sep 2022⚡️

▪️ AFU units launched a counteroffensive on the #Lyman 1 - #Tavolzhanka line, trying to gain a foothold in the outskirts of the populated areas.

▪️ To reinforce the advancing group, additional forces of the 14th Brigade were moved across a pontoon crossing at #Dvurechnaya. Crews of M777 howitzers are stationed in the settlement. Various types of drones are used for artillery targeting.

In addition, a team of man-portable air defence systems has been moved to #Dvurechnoye to provide protection against air strikes. A pair of Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopters was spotted over #Dvurechnoye and the #Oskol river.

▪️ Assault units of the 14th Brigade were unable to break through the defence lines of the Russian Forces near #Tavolzhanka. The enemy retreated to the wooded areas west of the settlement to regroup.

▪️ In the vicinity of #Lyman 1st and #Sinkovka, at least four assault detachments of the 92nd Brigade tried to take #Sinkovka by swoop. The attack was repulsed. The AFU retreated to their initial positions.

One of the groups of the 92nd Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was partially blocked during the fighting near the #Kulagovka railway station southwest of #Sinkovka. The command of the 14th Brigade sent reinforcements to this line.

▪️ Intense fighting continues in #Kupyansk. Ukrainian Forces occupied a section of the city's industrial zone, Kupyansk-Uzlovaya station and #Kovsharovka. Attempts to break through to #Kucherovka and #Petropavlovka continue.
