Below is the Persian Shirazi Salad Recipe.
1.Finely dice 4 Persian cucumbers. Cut them in 3s or 4s strips length wise, then cut them into another 3 or 4 strips, then stack them, turn them, and dice them into small cubes. Reference the video.
2. Grab 3 Roma tomatoes slice into strips, then more strips, then small cubes.
3. Finely cube 1/3 to 1/2 large red onion.
4. Add diced cucumbers, tomatos, and onions to a large salad bowl as-is if you want the authentic way.
5. OPTIONALLY, you can add a handful of finely chopped fresh mint or 2 super finely minced garlic cloves.
6. Add 4-5 tablespoons of sour grape juice to make it the authentic way, or if you can’t find some, lemon or lime juice
7. Add 1/3- 1/2 cup of a GOOD olive oil, a few pinches salt, 1-2 tbsp dried mint, and fresh ground pepper.
8. Give everything a really good mix, taste, then adjust to taste. You can add a bit more salt, but you do you!
