Being Jonah. (Jonah 1:1-13)

Running to Tarshish doesn't always look like jumping on a boat. Sometimes it looks more like staying silent in places where it's easier to go along with the group talking about someone behind their back. Sometimes it looks like hating Nineveh because the hurt of the past was more important the mercy of the moment. Sometimes Joppa looks like the easy way out in a world that is ripe with compromise. And sometimes being Jonah means being angry that GOD could call all to HIM when "they are clearly sinners!".

It's not an easy choice, to love. More so when completely justified in our anger. Kinda nails home that verse, "Be angry. Don't sin." for me. It's not an easy choice, sometimes it's the hardest choice you will ever make in your life. Narrow is the gate, few will enter. So is it to be the brother/sister who said they would love and didn't?
