Today’s Golden State Warriors rumors are LOADED with talks surrounding Draymond Green and Jordan Poole. Here’s what we’re talking about following Warriors’ media day:
- The Warriors have the most expensive team in NBA history with the luxury tax penalties. Will they be able to keep Jordan Poole, who had a breakout season in 2021-22 helping the Wariors to their 4th NBA Title?
- Draymond Green also said he does not believe that he will get a contract extension done before the 2022-23 NBA Season begins. Green has a player option for the 2023-24 season that can be exercised or declined in June of 2023.
- An NBA executive told Sean Deveney of Heavy.com that teams like the Detroit Pistons, Los Angels Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks could be interested in acquiring Draymond Green if he leaves the Golden State Warriors.
- Warriors GM Bob Myers said he does not believe any of the Warriors currently on the roster want to leave, but they will have to see how it plays out with Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry, along with Green and Poole.
