CURRENT EVENTS UPDATE: (1) We begin with some levity regarding the death of Common Sense. (2) Israel is preparing to strike Iran. (3) A new Gallup Poll shows the highest percentage ever recorded of Americans who do not believe in God.
In our study, after being asked what must be done to inherit eternal life and establishing the fact that we can only call Him "good" if He is God, Jesus then goes on to confront the ruler with his lack of ability to save himself by keeping the Law. And it is clear that it is impossible for a lost sinner to save Himself which is ONLY possible with God's work in us.
