Today we’re going to spend a little time looking at the political and economic landscape of Europe and before you start asking why it should matter to you let me point out that our last two major economic recessions originated outside the U.S. We’re living in a completely interconnected world.

A war in Ukraine means food shortages in Africa and gas shortages in Germany. An emerging markets slowdown means a liquidity crisis for U.S. stocks. A lockdown in China means a backlog of shipments of goods bound for the U.S. To understand the risks we face we must look outside our own boarders. That’s what we’ll do today.
