More than 150,000 newborn babies were stolen from their mothers during the 20th century. It was a failed eugenic social engineering experiment whereby the State forcibly removed/kidnapped newborns from their unwed mothers. The Commonwealth/states' sanctioned population policy was based on a cruel and flawed eugenic ideology that presumed unwed mothers were feebleminded/neurotic simply for having a baby out of wedlock. Therefore the State removed the newborns sight unseen from their heavily drugged mothers to be given to infertile married couples. It was thought this would stop the 'taint' of immorality and feeblemindedness being passed on from mother to child whilst simultaneously elevating the child's social status. Methods used to remove the newborns were cruel, barbaric and illegal. Mothers were drugged with mind altering barbiturates whilst being tied to beds with sheets or pillows placed in front of their faces so they had no chance of finish the birthing process by viewing their just born infant. The intention was to break the maternal/infant bond. This was the social mores of the adoption industry and the Imperial elites that set up this monstrous program. The Mothers and Adoptee Survivors have suffered life long severe PTSD, pathological grief and ongoing physical, emotional and mental pain. It is estimated that more than 2 million Australians have been severely impacted by this eugenic orientated neo-Malthusian, socially engineered program. After medical staff stole the newborn when leaving the hospital the social worker would write on the bottom of the mother's medical chart: socially cleared
