Cleaning Gravestones Changed My Life Forever. Alicia Williams started cleaning gravestones after a difficult divorce. It gave her peace cleaning the gravestones and took her mind off the custody battle. With a brush and a pump pressure washer she began cleaning graves. She started to uncover all kinds of stories. What she also learned was America's history with slavery and the people that passed during that time.
