kayak trip to Catalina

This video is from our kayak trip to Catalina. We paddled 29 miles from sunset beach to Avalon. This trip took us 9.5 hours. We made the trip solo on 7/26/12 without a support boat. We saw several whales and had one follow 15 feet behind us for a while. This was our first trip to Catalina. We trained for months for this trip. We were making 34-mile trips once a week along the coast before making this trip
