This is a simple straightforward explanation of how to let go of resentment.

Most people have had a feeling of resentment at least once in their lives. It’s that feeling where you feel emotionally stuck, worried, angry, and stressed.
Most of the challenges we have in our life are because we have unmet expectations. We tend to think life needs to be a certain way, and that people need to act a certain way. When it doesn’t happen according to the way we think it should, we get upset. This makes us not want to “forgive” others for not meeting our expectations.

We will always carry anger and hurt in our hearts if we have expectations of other people and of life conditions which we cannot control.

The answer to overcoming resentment is forgiveness.
