Various positions are put forth in the public discourse claiming to be pro-war or pro-peace, but what do these actually represent? How do we distinguish between hollow jingoistic rhetoric, naive or philosophical pacificm, versus a more substantial or perhaps realist leftist anti-war and anti-imperialist position?
