Refers to the cichl fish genus, widely distributed in the Amazon basin. Discus are also popular in aquarium fish farming.
They are peaceful and friendly inhabitants of freshwater environments. Their diversity can not help but surprise. Among them there are both bright monochrome (e.g., discus blue diamond), and spotted (discus leopard snakeskin), and striped (turkis) and others.
