Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy announced the launch of the 'Bread for All' initiative that offers free freshly-baked bread through vending machines across Dubai to aid needy families, the Emirates News Agency reported. The initiative aims to provide fresh bread to those in need through smart machines deployed in several outlets. The project is in line with Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's zero-hunger vision for the UAE – "no one will go hungry in the land of the Emirates," he once said. So, what else do we know about this fantastic project? Let's find out.

Vending machines that provide free bread to residents have been launched across Dubai. In partnership with Aswaaq supermarkets, the smart vending machines will be located at outlets in Al Mizhar, Al Warqa'a, Mirdif, Nad Al Sheba, Nadd Al Hamar, Al Qouz, and Al Bada'a.
In what is a modern and social approach to charity work, the user-friendly vending machines prepare and dispense bread throughout the day. Users can press the "order" button then, after the bread is prepared, it will be dispensed from the machine.
The 'Bread for all' Programme is inspired by the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who was quoted saying at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic that: "In the UAE, no one sleeps hungry or in need."
The pre-programmed machines prepare bread and provide it free of charge as part of a modern and sustainable model of charity work.
The initiative enables individuals to contribute to the first of its kind that adopts the principle of short-term community funding.
It helps underprivileged families and laborers secure their serving of bread while allowing contributors to donate directly through the machine that prepares and dispenses the bread wherever it is located.
Any person in need can press the 'order' button. After a short time, the meal will be ready and can be taken from the machine.
According to Ali Al Mutawa, secretary general of AMAF, this is what he had to say: "This initiative is an exemplary model for an innovative community endowment that allows everyone to participate, creating a comprehensive charity movement and enhancing the spirit of solidarity among various social segments. We look forward to expanding the scope of cooperation with the initiative's partners in the local community to reach the most beneficiaries."
Zainab Juma Al Tamimi, director of MBRGCEC, added: "An innovative endowment is a tool that contributes to socio-economic development. The Emirati society is a sympathetic one, and we want to develop solutions for a better future and happier people.".
