Luke 17:11-37 "Obey in Faith"

Jesus is traveling from the area around Galilee in the north…to Jerusalem in the south.
And He would come to the area of Samaria…a place where the Jews of the day felt if they entered that land they would be defiled.
They considered the Samaritans “half breeds,” half Gentile, half Jew.
So, they would purposely go around the long way to reach Jerusalem…
Now weather Jesus went through Samaria or around isn’t important…
What is important is that He encounters ten lepers on His journey…
They were all together because they were not allowed to live among the people in the villages…They were social outcasts.
They cry out to Jesus to have mercy on them!
You know that mercy is not getting what you do deserve.
These lepers believed (as many did in that day) that sickness and deformities were a punishment from God…
