Legacy Conversations - Chris Coomer Episode 1 - 4SAI & SAAF Intelligence Officer

We speak to Chris Coomer. He did his basic training twice. First in 4 SAI and then in the SAAF when he went to SAAF pilot training. In this episode, he tells us of his time as a national serviceman in 4 SAI before being accepted for pilot training where things went wrong. By this time, he already completed SAAF officer training, bush survival, and parachuting from a stricken aircraft. Chris then transferred to Air Force Intelligence and spent many months in the operational area including Ongiva in that role. The next episode will deal with his time as an intelligence officer.
