Splatoon 3 - Splatfest #1 (Global): Gear vs. Grub vs. Fun - Day 1 Pro Battles (Team Gear!)

The first full-length post-launch Splatfest for Splatoon 3 has begun! Which would you bring to a deserted island: Gear (like sleeping bags, tents, hunting items, and other equipment), Grub (food), or Fun (playing cards, reading material, or even your Nintendo Switch)? I already talked it over with my friends when the Splatfest was first announced, and we settled on Team Gear, because it seems the most practical. Besides, you can use your hunting gear to hunt for food (grub) as well as for sport (fun), so it's like all choices rolled up into one!

So far, Team Fun has taken the Sneak Peek Conch Shell category, and it looks like Team Gear is going to take popularity since I had my fair share of mirror matches in my run up to Gear Ruler. As for clout, I have absolutely no idea, because my matches were pretty much even the whole way. It started really rough during my Splatfest Power calculation period causing my power level to suffer immensely, but things got better around Champion rank. I did get one 10x against Team Grub which I won, though!

1:42:19 - Close match against a high-ranked enemy player (vs. Fun)
1:57:59 - 10x Victory! (vs. Grub)
2:03:00 - Gear Ruler Reached! (vs. Fun)
